TEEN CHOICE AWARDS 2009 – RED CARPET

Starting with my personal faves! (all pics are from theFashiontime.com)

Vanessa Hudgens in a blue-purple Christian Dior pleated dress with a sheer deep v-neck, (with tassles!) suede pumps and a black clutch. I’m not a huge fan of hers, I don’t even think she’s that goodlooking, but she looked smokin’ hot in this!

Hayden Panettiere in a soft pink Zac Posen ruched dress. Great colour to show off a great tan. She looked Oh so perfectly pretty in this.

 

Selena Gomez was wearing a one-shouldered lavender dress and silver t-strap pumps. Again, not a huge fan of hers, don’t think she’s a very goodlooking girl, cute, but nothing special to me, and I pretty much think she could have worn better shoes, but she looked so grown up and grecian goddessy in this dress she is def. a winner and contender for best dressed.

 Cameron Diaz looked sexy secretary in a grey Alexander McQueen pencil dress with a zip detailing on the bust and electric blue pumps. If I had to pick one outfit to be in my closet from the awards, this would be it, I think I would rock this at work/meetings/etc.

 

Leighton Meester  in a nautical Louis Vuitton dress. And the best part were her red Brian Atwood platform pumps ❤

 

Miley Cyrus in a age appropriate  not to mention rock star worthy white Hanes tank and Haute Hippie  mini skirt. But what really makes her outfit are ALL of her accessories! Perfect outfit for the teen choice awards 🙂

 

Ashley Tisdale wore a hot shimmery strapless dresswith Christian Louboutin studded pumps. Loved this!

Amanda Bynes wore a curve hugging  giving  lemon and peach Herve Leger dress. I am a huge fan of Amanda and thinks she looks uber hot in this dress. The shoes were less than inspirational though…

Emma Roberts wore Monique Lhuillier dress with gorgeous  embellished details on the top. Along with black ankle booties.

 Ashley Greene was wearing Dolce & Gabbana floral skirt, light greyblue bustier and ruby sandals. Along with a metalic eggplant clutch.So cute! I would wear this everyday!

 

Kristen Stewart looked like crap. I’m sorry. Don’t send me hate mail please. But what is up with that hair? I can almost handle the Rock n Republic  outfit, but the hair?! Why Kristen? Why???

 

Audrina Patridge is wearing Courtney Crawford turquoise patent leather platform pumps. LOVE. AND her purple Zuhair Murad Spring 2009 strapless ruched dress is just as fab. Although, we have seen this done before. Actually Hayden Panetier wore it at comicon! and I’m not a big fan of the bead necklace…

 

 

ELIE SAAB FALL  09 COUTURE

On the runway on July 8 09 in Paris! So gorgeous! I really loved almost everything on the runway! It was a liitle bit of a dejavu from the Chanel Spring show, which I also loved, but I think all these are much more red carpet worthy… so girly, elegant and detailed. I could post a million pictures and talk forever on it, but someone has to clean up my house, and I can’t afford no maid so here we go, my faves!

Eric Tibusch has done something that I know all shoe lovers, including myself, have dreamed of for ages… wear their shoes, where they can be seen! On your head! I have always thought shoes should be worn higher up on the body! Now my fantasy has become a reality! And this pic does not do any of these shoes justice!

COLOURED JEANS

 

I have noticed this trend for a while now, and because of my personal body issues (I do not want to draw attention to my thighs if I don’t have to lol) I have decided to just think that it was an tacky 80’s trend in which I do not need to get into.
Now, I’m not saying that I think these are the most flattering, but I do think they can be very super cute, if worn correctly. I saw a girl at the movies the other night in pale yellow jeans and she looked really fun and trendy, I loved it. So she inspired me to write about how to wear this trend and what to avoid.

DO

• Wear Coloured Jeans with a solid colour shirt.
•  Wear coloured Jeans with heels, since these jeans could make you look shorter heels will give you some legth.
  
• Wear them with gladiator sandles, cuz, well they go with everything…

 

 

Ashlee Simpson knows how to rock the elecrtic blue jeans and remain looking put together and cute instead of tacky.

DON’T

• Wear Coloured Jeans with colourful shirts or shoes. Like wearing red jeans with a yellow shirt, hello Ronald McDonald!
• Wear bright patterns with sparkles. Too busy.
• Wear runners! Yuck! thowback to grade 3!

Wear coloured jeans with matching accesories and belts, if it has little accents that may be fine, but if you’re wearing bright jeans and bright plastic matching gloves or belts or hats or something.. omg barf. common sense people! Colour overload! Do you want to look like a back up dancer for Britney Spears cira 1998? LOL DEAR LORD this is awful!

 

 

 

 

 

LAVENDER!

Now that word usually brings back memories of 1996 or hideous weddings, kinda like the word Periwinkle! 

But I’ve been seeing more and more of the colour lavender being introduced on the runways this spring, and I’m not hating it, i’m actually LOVING it… now I may regret saying that in a few years, but I think, if done properly, it can be very pretty and not cheap and tacky looking…

 MAX FACTOR

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Max Factor is no longer being produced and sold in the US…
Kinda makes me sad, because I think of how Max Factor was the leading makeup in all the old movies I love, and did the makeup for Lucille Ball on ‘I love Lucy’ for years! He actually coined the word “Makeup”!! He made Clara Bow’s iconic “bow” lips and Joan Crawford’s full pout.
 Max Factor was created in 1909! So that makes it a Century old and now it’s going to be gone, so if you have any faves that you can not live with out made by Max Factor I would suggest stocking up now while you still can!!

They are supposed to be priced for people like me! $20-$60! How exciting! I can’t waitto try these bad boys on, especially the ones with the chains and spikes! I wont need to carry my pepperspray walking alone anymore if I got those killers on my feet!

I am building a outfit for the assembly based upon this look from Cameron Diaz and Becki Newton… I love it soooo much, its like my 2 fave colours, Mauve and Turqoise, and together, its BOOM BOOM POW baby! lol

I love it so much, and I will have to kill you if you try to copy me at my assembly lol. Although, if you are at a different assembly, its quite all right… 🙂
